Beautiful floral patterns woven with thread

This beautiful shell-shaped folding fan was created by the handiwork of artisans. The magnolia-inspired floral pattern is made using the cut jacquard technique, in which thin threads are woven in and the ends of the threads are carefully cut. The delicate and intricate handiwork will make you sigh. Please keep it in your bag, whether you're wearing a yukata or just casually.

Fujii Fuku Orimono, which was founded 80 years ago, is a textile factory that specializes in Banshu-ori jacquard. It is said that the more warp threads there are, the more difficult it is to weave, but they manufacture cut jacquard fabrics using a double-beam loom that uses 8,100 warp threads, which is not found anywhere else. They are so passionate about this that they started by working with a loom manufacturer to create a loom that balances the beauty of the design, the quality of the fabric, and productivity. After this, the fabric woven on the jacquard loom goes to the process of cutting the threads that do not have a pattern. The fabric is passed through a special machine 10 times. The craftsman is always there to check on the fabric as it is cut. The elegant woven pattern stands out against the fringe-like pile. Cut jacquard fabrics that give a little luxury to your daily life are born from this kind of time and effort.

The design is very stylish and a good value compared to other products at this price point, and the size is also good, so it doesn't take up much space in your bag. However, it's a bit of a pain to have to secure the fan closed with something like a rubber band. I guess that's unavoidable given the material. Overall, I really like it.
