Keep your everyday accessories ready for emergencies

This charm whistle necklace was created by Plus Jack, a glasses workshop in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture. It's an accessory that can be worn everyday and also used for emergencies. The design, which produces a sound that's easy to hear even when blown lightly, is the result of trial and error by Sabae artisans. The chain is intentionally thin so that it won't break if it gets caught on something in the event of an emergency.

The shape produces a sound that is easy to hear even when blown lightly.

The Disaster Prevention Division of Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a city famous for its eyeglasses, came up with the idea of making a whistle-like accessory out of eyeglass materials. This resulted in an item that kills two birds with one stone: promoting Sabae's eyeglasses industry and raising disaster prevention awareness.

It will be shipped in a box.
