Kinkazanori is a jacquard pile fabric woven in Hashimoto City, Wakayama Prefecture, at the foot of Mount Koya, a world-famous pile fabric production area. Its three-dimensional, intricate patterns are also known as the "pinnacle of pile fabrics." During the high economic growth period of the Showa era, when Japanese lifestyles were rapidly westernized, Kinkazanori became popular for use in sofas in living rooms, coffee shop chairs, train and bus seats, and more. Nakaya Pile, founded in 1952, is a rare weaver who continues to carry on the history of Kinkazanori. Based on the motifs of old European textile collections, Nakaya Pile's fabric is woven into a retro yet modern design and has been made into two items. A neck warmer and a shoulder bag are perfect companions to brighten up your outing. They are large enough to fit a long wallet or tablet, so you can put your essentials in and go out with just this one bag. The surface is luxuriously Kinkazanori, and the back is made of lightweight 100% cotton canvas. It adds a subtle and elegant touch to your outfit.
