Nishijin-ori textiles have been passed down since the Heian period in Nishijin, Kyoto. Morisan, a long-established company founded in 1921, continues to convey the brilliance of this tradition to the present day. The outstanding weaving techniques are so sophisticated that they are even used for Hina doll costumes. These traditional Japanese accessories, which bring together the best of this craft, exude the traditional beauty and elegance of Japan.

This time we are introducing a smart rectangular purse made with a luxurious gold-colored fabric that makes a statement. While retaining the beautiful colors and delicate patterns that are unique to Nishijin-ori, it also adds a gorgeous shine that will further enhance the wearer's hand.

At Morisan, we tailor our purses from scraps of Nishijin-ori fabric, which is produced during the manufacturing process, in order to make effective use of every last bit of the precious fabric. Therefore, you cannot choose the fabric pattern of the purse you receive.
