Nishijin-ori textiles have a history of 1,200 years in Nishijin, Kyoto. Among them, Morisan, a long-established company founded in 1921, has woven Japanese aesthetics with the reliable techniques used to create elegant costumes for Hina dolls.

This compact, round clasp purse is the epitome of Morisan's craftsmanship. The Nishijin-ori fabric, with its cool and elegant blue base, changes appearance depending on the angle from which it is viewed, and the delicate patterns woven into the threads add a dignified sparkle to the wearer's hand.

At Morisan, we make every purse by carefully combining the scraps of Nishijin-ori fabric that are produced during the manufacturing process, in order to make the most of every last bit of fabric.
