"Folk art" and "art" in a cute atmosphere

This is a small furoshiki from a series created through a collaboration between kata kata, a stencil dyeing artist, and Musubi, a Kyoto-based manufacturer specializing in furoshiki. I like the animals created by katakata because they have a cuteness and warmth reminiscent of a picture book, but also a strong sense of folk art. Made from 100% organic cotton. It can be used for wrapping, laying, and hanging, and I have a feeling that it will also be fun to come up with new ways to use it. The 50cm size is just right for ease of use.

[kata kata] A duo consisting of Takeshi Matsunaga and Tomoe Takai. They dye cloth and paper using traditional dyeing methods such as kataezome, and produce hand towels and picture postcards.

Similar to the process used in stencil dyeing, the motifs for this furoshiki are hand-carved from stencils.

The motifs are hand-carved into the paper stencils. It's quite impressive...!

It will be delivered wrapped in a cute paper band. It can be given as a gift as is.
