The "Shimura Fukumi Textile Collection" was launched by the dyeing and weaving brand Atelier Shimura to share Shimura Fukumi's world of color with more people. This time, under the supervision of Atelier Shimura, one-piece has been created using textiles designed by el:ment, selected from Shimura Fukumi's precious collection of woven fabrics. The uneven texture, the expression of the kasuri pattern, and even the breath of the plants are reproduced in print, offering an opportunity to experience a part of Shimura's art. "A Trial of Color and Light" is a gorgeous piece, as if clothed in color and light, with a beautiful harmony of thread colors. "Purple and White Stripes" features a dignified appearance, combining a purple color that has long been a special dignity for Japanese people with vibrant white stripes. Everything, from the printing to the sewing, is Made in Japan, using triacetate, a fabric that produces beautiful colors and is produced exclusively in Japan. The tucks, which adapt to the body's contours, create beautiful drapes with every movement, reminiscent of a kimono. We hope to convey the atmosphere of the fabric and the thoughts behind it.
