Polish festive costumes from the Kobe Fashion Museum collection have been hand-knitted to recreate their delicate decorations. The knitwear design is inspired by the traditional costumes of the Polish town of Cracow from the early 20th century. The gorgeous decorations are thought to symbolize vitality, abundance, protection from evil, and unity. On special occasions, these garments are worn to immerse oneself in the joy of celebration. They are an important accessory that allows one to momentarily forget the mundane and add rhythm to everyday life. This kit involves knitting a sweater that combines festive clothing designs with an Aran pattern. Crafted from 100% merino wool yarn, it achieves a vintage-inspired finish.
