During the Meiji era, this clay figurine was accidentally unearthed, and its discovery led to the name "Shakoki Dogu" (goggle-eyed clay figurine). It is slightly turned to the left, with the holes between its eyes serving as the nose and mouth, and the hole in its stomach serving as the navel.
It is characterized by its large eyes and a crown-shaped ornament on its head. The entire surface is covered with intricate and delicate patterns. The inside is hollow, and the surface is carefully polished.
It's palm-sized and solid inside. The face has stylized eyes with nostrils above them and a mouth between the eyes. What looks like a mouth is actually a cleft chin.
