We created this T-shirt using jersey fabric that has been plated so that 100% linen yarn is on the front and 100% cotton yarn is on the back. As a result, it has the rough texture and natural ecru color characteristic of linen, while the side that touches the skin has the gentle feel of cotton. Frankly speaking, 100% linen yarn is not suitable for plating because it has no elasticity and is not strong. However, it was Ohashi Knit in Gifu Prefecture that made this possible with their masterful skills. Founded in 1987, they are a long-established manufacturer celebrating their 39th year in business this year. Thanks to their precise adjustment techniques for humidity and knitting machine tension, they were able to create a linen-blend T-shirt that doesn't itch. Because the fabric is full of craftsmanship, we have incorporated handcrafted details into the design as well. The square Pocket on the left chest has the narrowest possible stitching, and contrasting color ribbing is used on the cuffs and collar as an accent. In addition, the back collar is stamped with the words "Japanese craftsmanship" by hand, one by one. We've created a simple yet tasteful, slightly luxurious T-shirt.
