I recently collaborated with HARIO Lampwork Factory, with whom I've made products several times before, to create some earrings perfect for summer. HARIO Lampwork Factory was established by HARIO, founded in 1921, which originally produced beakers and flasks. As the manufacturing process became increasingly mechanized, they launched this glass accessory brand to preserve handcrafting techniques, creating everything by hand. HARIO is famous for its heat-resistant glass coffee drippers, for example. Heat-resistant glass is lighter and more heat-resistant than ordinary glass, allowing for delicate designs through stretching and joining, making it an excellent material for accessories. The transparency of glass gives it a cool and refreshing feel, perfect for the hot summer. This time, to further enhance the charm of glass, we created earrings with an "ice" theme. Initially, we tried making prototypes with three square ice cubes connected together, like the kind you make in a home refrigerator, but it didn't quite capture the essence of ice. After making several samples, we arrived at the motif of large crushed ice, like the kind sold in supermarkets. We've meticulously crafted these earrings, paying close attention to their asymmetrical, slightly irregular shape, their perfect size for the ear, and their appearance reminiscent of slightly melting ice. The result is an elegant yet striking earring that sparkles beautifully in the summer sunlight. With summer approaching and more opportunities to show off your ears, why not subtly adorn your ears with these stylish earrings?
