I finally got around to trying my hand at Indian block printing this summer, something I've always wanted to do. Block printing is a technique where you hand-press a palm-sized, hand-carved wooden block, slightly shifting it as you go. Because it's a handmade process, it creates variations in color intensity, unique misalignments, and overlapping colors, giving it an indescribable rustic charm and warmth. Using this wonderful fabric, I made one-piece that can also be worn as a cardigan. The thin, sheer fabric makes it not only comfortable to wear but also gives it a cool, refreshing look.
