ShuttleNotes, a Japanese fabric brand based in Nishiwaki City, a production area for Banshu weaving, is committed to creating fabrics with a simple, washed-out texture. They meticulously Self-assembly their products, from raw materials to spinning, to achieve the desired look. This summer, we've used ShuttleNotes fabric to create a high-quality casual shirt. The fabric used this time is a gingham pattern created with indigo-dyed yarn and beautiful blue yarn dyed with reactive dyes. The indigo yarn is made from organic cotton and rope-dyed, just like denim jeans. As a result, the color becomes lighter towards the center, so it will fade and develop a unique look with wear. The blue yarn uses two types of yarn, even though they are the same color: 100% cotton slub yarn for the warp and a cotton-linen blend yarn for the weft. The shirt features the perfect balance of crispness from the linen, the rustic texture of the slub yarn, and the indigo color that changes and develops character the more you wear it. Furthermore, this time we've applied a special product wash called "snow processing" to give it a worn-in look right from the start. The result is a garment that strikes a good balance between a refreshing feel perfect for summer and a simple, natural, casual style.
