Delphinium is said to derive its name from the Greek word dolphin because its buds resemble dolphins. It is a very beautiful flower with many flowers blooming in a row on a long flower stalk, so I decided to use it as an embroidery motif. Delphiniums often have blue flowers, but this time I chose white flowers and let them bloom quietly against the gray fabric. The flower language of delphinium is "clear light", but the flower language of white delphinium is "pretty eyes". It has an A-line silhouette with a clean look from the shoulders to the chest and a generous flare towards the hem.
