The braids are made by Showen Kumihimo in Uji, Kyoto, which adapts the historic Kyoto braided cords to suit modern times. The glossy braids are made using a braiding method called "Edo-uchi," and each one has a unique charm due to the combination of colors. This one was braided using three colors: two shades of yellow and a pale skin tone. If you look closely, you will enjoy the subtle colors of the delicate threads and the intricate color combinations.
