Noh masks are called ``Omote'' and are said to be ``yorishiro'' in the world of Noh where the soul resides. By tilting the mask over the mask, the performer conveys a variety of emotions. This Noh mask has another name, ``Kesho,'' which means ``to change or transform,'' and we made a makeup pouch based on this mask. COLLABORATION [Kyoto Kanze Kaikan] The home of the Kanze-ryu Shitekata based in Kyoto. The Noh stage is made entirely of cypress, and the old pine paneling was created by Insho Domoto, one of Kyoto's leading Japanese painters. Many independent performances are held, including regular meetings by member Noh performers, as well as regular Noh performances by each family, performances sponsored by individuals, Kyogen performances, and presentations by those who are practicing.
