Japan's first museum dedicated to "yokai" (Japanese supernatural beings). It primarily exhibits a collection of approximately 5,500 yokai items donated by folklorist and yokai researcher Koichi Yumoto. In addition, visitors can learn about yokai through interactive exhibits at "teamLab Yokai Amusement Park." The museum opened on April 26, 2019, in Miyoshi-cho, Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, the setting of the Edo period yokai tale, "Ino Mononoke Roku."
