This shell-shaped incense burner features a traditional motif that has been passed down since ancient times.

The National Treasure "Chōju Jinbutsu Giga," a scroll kept at Kosanji Temple in Kyoto, is a humorous picture scroll depicting animals and people that reflects the social climate from the end of the Heian period to the early Kamakura period. This traditional motif, also known as "Japan's oldest manga" due to its expressive technique, has been turned into an elegant shell-matching incense burner.
