A small bouquet on the dining table. Two flowers in your hand.

"hanataba" chopsticks are the result of a collaboration between Matsukan, a long-established chopstick manufacturer in Obama City, Fukui Prefecture, that carries on traditional craftsmanship, and nendo, a world-renowned design office, whose aesthetic sensibilities have come together. They transcend the functional beauty of a tool and express the "beauty of utility" that gently enriches everyday life.
Carved into natural wood by the skilled hands of craftsmen are five delicate and beautiful petals. When you hold it in your hand and look down at it from above, you see a single, lovely flower blooming proudly. Gathering several of these together transforms them into a charming bouquet that vividly colors the dining table, and simply placing them gently in a glass or cutlery stand creates a lovely scene, as if you've adorned your usual dining table with a small flower.
Since ancient times, chopsticks have been considered auspicious symbols of "bridges of happiness" that connect people and their thoughts and feelings. They are perfect as a gift to a loved one, for celebrations, or to subtly convey gratitude and wishes that words alone cannot express.
