These adorable small plates feature a new, traditional Japanese color scheme, a specialty of Isuke, a lacquerware merchant with a history dating back to the Edo period, and animal patterns by Unsodo, a Kyoto woodblock print publisher. Finished with a lacquering technique called "mehajiki," which highlights the wood grain, they exude a warm and soft feel. They're perfect for serving sweets, snacks, or even as coasters. They'll add a comforting touch of Japanese charm to your everyday meals.
