Foil stamping is applied to all four edges. The mirror-like gloss of the edge is so beautiful that it makes me happy to hold it.
[What is Tenkin processing] Tenkin processing, which applies gold leaf to the side of paper, is a technique that applies heat and pressure to transfer foil to paper, just like foil stamping. When applied to the edge of a book, it is called 'sanpo-gane', and the side of business cards is called 'tenkin-ko'.
The foil-stamped borders and ruled lines on the surface neatly enhance the message.
