It looks like candy konpeito, but it's not candy konpeito. "Ukihoshi" is a cute traditional Niigata sweet made from "arare" (rice crackers) covered in syrup. You can eat it as is, but we recommend adding it to a drink. The stars float in the drink...that's why it's called "Ukihoshi."
Flavored Tea: <White Peach & Raspberry> A flavored black tea that lets you enjoy the gorgeous, sweet and sour aroma of white peach and raspberry. Ukihoshi: <Sakura Base> A gentle cherry blossom flavor. Ukihoshi: <Milk> A simple, lightly sweet flavor that goes well with anything. ■Ingredients: Granulated sugar (domestically produced), rice crackers (domestically produced rice cakes, starch syrup), unsweetened condensed milk (contains milk ingredients) ■Manufactured and processed in Japan
The inside is made of rice crackers, so it has a crunchy texture. It is also recommended as a topping for yogurt or ice cream. It can also be mixed with cereal or corn flakes.
You can either put the floating stars in first and then pour in the drink, or you can add them later. At first, they sink, but after a few seconds the sugar around them starts to dissolve and the lighter hail begins to float up. It's so cute that you'll find yourself saying "Wow!" out loud.
"Ukihoshi" is made by artisans using traditional methods, one color at a time, in a large pot, over the course of several hours, with great care and attention to detail. It is a sweet filled with everyone's love.
Each tea bag is individually wrapped. The packaging is cute, featuring tea-loving animals serving tea. This flavored tea has a gentle aroma.
