GAKO, a long-established pearl manufacturer in Kobe, and Yamaneko, the Japanese Craftsmen Project leader, are always sharing ideas with each other as they create new products. For this project, GAKO suggested a semicircular mabe pearl, specifically a marquise-shaped oval, almost diamond-shaped pearl. Yamaneko was instantly captivated by its graceful beauty, and the project began immediately. The centerpiece is a mabe pearl from Amami, Japan, boasting the world's highest quality. Its subtle bluish lustre and iridescent glow radiate a unique beauty. To maximize the beauty of this mabe pearl, the design of the hardware was repeatedly revised. After much trial and error, they arrived at a simple hardware design that complements the pearl's brilliance and shape. The chain is crafted from delicate 925 silver, beautifully finished with a mother of pearl plate on the back. The large, voluminous mabe pearl makes a statement on its own, adding a touch of elegance to any neckline. Incidentally, this semicircular shape and its mysterious sparkle are entirely natural and not processed. You can enjoy the natural beauty of no two pearls being the same.
