For this project, GAKO suggested a semicircular mabe pearl, specifically a marquise-shaped oval, almost diamond-shaped pearl. Yamaneko was instantly captivated by its graceful beauty, and the project began immediately. The centerpiece is a mabe pearl from Amami, Japan, boasting the world's highest quality. Its subtle bluish lustre and iridescent glow radiate a unique beauty. To maximize the beauty of this mabe pearl, the design of the hardware was repeatedly revised. After much trial and error, they arrived at a simple hardware design that complements the pearl's brilliance and shape.
