Aesthetic bags born from the atelier.

Tomoko Nakamura, owner of the vintage shop REINETTE, and I had been planning to make this polka dot bag for some time. The ideal polka dot fabric, design, and sewing techniques all came together perfectly, and it finally became a reality. Choosing the polka dot fabric in particular required countless hours of careful consideration, comparing fabric samples. We used a sophisticated material: a glossy polyester fabric for apparel with a lining for added strength. To match the texture of the fabric, we selected a leather material with a flat, lustrous surface for a refined look. The cute, somewhat retro drawstring design was inspired by Nakamura's personal vintage bag. The round, rather than oval, base creates a more nostalgic feel. The purple lining (Nakamura's favorite color) is a stunning touch upon opening the bag! The striking contrast of black and white with the nuanced purple creates an exceptionally stylish finish. Upon seeing the prototype, Nakamura praised it, saying, "It's so light, it's easy to carry even when it's full of luggage. The gold hardware really stands out against the monotone! I'm already daydreaming about what kind of keychain I should attach to it." This special drawstring shoulder bag, which combines the atmosphere of an atelier lined with vintage items from all over the world and Nakamura's aesthetic sense, which is based on his knowledge of many masterpieces, will bring a touch of glamour to your everyday life.
