The feeling of wearing a gorgeous, lustrous feather robe

This stole is made of Banshu-ori TencelTM fiber, which is soft and light, like a feather robe. The twill weave gives it a particularly beautiful sheen. It is large yet thin, so it creates just the right amount of volume when wrapped around the neck, and is compact when you carry it around. It also has a unique cool feeling, so it is comfortable to use for temperature regulation and sun protection in the summer.

Kawakami Orimono was founded in 1934 in Takamachi, Hyogo Prefecture, the home of Banshu weaving. They have the unique know-how to weave well-balanced fabrics using thin TencelTM threads with 80 single threads. TencelTM is a natural regenerated fiber made from renewable wood such as eucalyptus. It is characterized by its enchanting softness, but because of its delicacy, when used as a warp thread, it is prone to breaking during the weaving process, and it is extremely difficult to weave it at the same speed as regular fabrics. However, they found the possibility of originality in that difficulty, and are working on "Banshu weaving with TencelTM". They reviewed each process, devised the tension of the thread, and slowed down the weaving speed... After much trial and error, they created a unique and attractive fabric. It is smooth and light like silk, with a luxurious luster and color development. Why not try wearing a large shawl and fully experience the wonderful fabrics that are the fruit of Kawakami Orimono's passion and spirit of inquiry?
