A light shawl made of colorful Banshu weave that you can love for a hundred years to come. Just one piece for a free-spirited look.

The dancing colors, which differ from one shawl to the next, are impressive. Each half shawl is woven with a frequency that would be unthinkable in mass production, and each one is unique. Each shawl comes in one of three colors: blue, red, or yellow/green. The shawl is woven as slowly as possible on an old rapier loom, resulting in a light and soft texture like air. We will deliver a unique piece that is just for you. You can enjoy the moderate volume when wrapped around your neck.

Enchanted by Banshuori, which she encountered by chance, Tamaki Niime moved to Nishiwaki City, the hometown of Banshuori. She owns a wide variety of textile machinery and uses original yarns that take advantage of the characteristics of Banshuori, a yarn-dyed technique, to create colorful shawls by Tamaki Niime. The origin of the shawls is the soft fabric that she arrived at by operating the machines and trying things out with her natural inquisitiveness. "All of our craftsmen continue to research and challenge themselves, cherishing the desire to weave something like this! We want to make many people happy, not just pursue self-satisfaction," says Tamaki. In the future, she is trying to make shawls from yarn grown without pesticides. She is also working on recycling by using leftover yarns and scraps.

"The large shawl, which looks most beautiful when worn, is the first item from tamaki niime. It is recommended for people of all ages and genders, and is something you can proudly give as a gift to yourself or a special person. I want to make all the items one-of-a-kind, but this time I made them in the same colors and patterns so that customers won't receive something they don't like. All of the colors and patterns will make you think, 'I want to use this for a hundred years.'"

"The Half Shawl is the next item we created after the large shawl. It is half the size so that it can be worn casually as an accessory. As a maker, I want to keep trying new things with each shawl, so I am particular about making unique pieces. Just as everyone is different, I hope you will enjoy this one-of-a-kind shawl."

Niime Tamaki was captivated by Banshuori textiles after coming across them by chance, and moved to Nishiwaki City, the hometown of Banshuori textiles. She owns a wide variety of textile machinery and uses original yarns that take advantage of the unique characteristics of Banshuori textiles, which are made using the yarn-dyed technique, to create the colorful shawls of her brand, tamaki niime.
