Transparent colors, glistening on her profile

Inspired by the vibrant colors of Tsugaru Vidro glass, these glass ear cuffs are handcrafted one by one by an artist using lampworking techniques. Enjoy the unique individuality of each piece, in both color and shape. The various colors shimmer gently and softly as they are translucent in the sunlight of each season. They are light and smooth to wear, making them ideal for those who dislike metal or for warmer, sweatier weather. The fact that they can be easily washed with water is another attractive feature.

Glass craftsman Kyoko Matsuoka
Ms. Matsuoka, who creates original glass beads in the workshop of "Pass+Time," a shop that started out of a passion for antique beads, says: "I tried to express the rich colors of Tsugaru Vidro (a type of glass) with small ear cuffs. Glass is a world of science. Even beautiful colors can produce unexpected colors when mixed together, making it extremely difficult to arrange the colors you want. Even so, I'm offering a selection of pieces that I've managed to get close to achieving beautiful colors."
