Transparent tones announce the arrival of summer

We made these wind chimes that bring the feeling of summer with Matsugaoka Glass in Yamagata Prefecture. The body is made of semi-crystal glass used for sake cups. The cool transparency and the tranquil charm of the retro cut are soothing. Listen to the clear sound of the iron tinkling against the glass and forget the heat for a moment. *The weight attached to the inside of the wind chime. The strips are made of unbleached, hand-kneaded Japanese paper from Tokushima. They are made of kozo paper, making them durable.

Matsugaoka Glass in Yamagata Prefecture was founded in 1940. After manufacturing everyday glass products such as sake bottles and glass buoys, they succeeded in producing crystal glass products in the 1960s. They are currently working on manufacturing tableware and other items using a method called "fire polishing," which involves heating the glass to give it a glossy finish.

el:ment［エルメント］|el:ment×松ヶ岡ガラス　職人技で光を宿す未晒し和紙が揺れるセミクリスタルガラス風鈴|鉄製の舌（ぜつ）（風鈴の内側に付いているおもり）がガラスに当たるとチリンと澄んだ音色が響きます。

The strips are made of unbleached, hand-kneaded Japanese paper from Tokushima. They are made from kozo paper, making them durable.

When the iron tongue (a weight attached to the inside of the wind chime) hits the glass, a clear tinkling sound is produced.
