It's a lovely season to embroider and draw animals as if you were playing with them.

This seasonal scene featuring humorous animals, such as a hedgehog who prefers dumplings to flowers at a cherry blossom viewing party and a dog riding on a carp streamer, is designed by cross-stitch artist Hiraizumi Chie (happy-go-lucky). Cross-stitching, which simply involves stitching along the grid according to the pattern, is a technique recommended for embroidery beginners. These small wall decorations can be displayed or stored anywhere and come in a variety of sizes and base colors, including those with tassels. It's wonderful to make and display them like turning the pages of a calendar, and enjoy seasonal stories with your children.
