"Okuyama Yoshie and Team Shonan," centered around actress Okuyama Yoshie, holds workshops at local elementary schools and donates Happy Toys every year. This time, everyone submitted many toys they made at home, using Okuyama's production blog as a reference. Each toy is unique and has a lively expression, making you feel cheerful just by looking at them. Among them, Satoko's "Kumaman" caught my eye with its gentle colors and a kind, comforting expression.
This month's Ten-chan Award goes to Satoko-sama and everyone from "Okuyama Yoshie and Team Shonan".

Next up, the Staff Award goes to a cross-stitch artwork.

Next, we'll introduce the staff awards. The first is,Works by noranohaha (Tokyo)The winner is... Congratulations! Here is the comment that noranohaha submitted to the work.

[Artwork Title] Inspired by a Mizuhiki tray, I created a cross-stitch lunch tray and cutlery set.

I covered the cross-stitch with a plastic sheet to prevent it from getting wet. I'm captivated by the beauty of cross-stitch in traditional Japanese colors. You can enjoy meals and tea time on this lovely tray.

The idea of using embroidered artwork as a tray is so fresh! It really challenged my preconceived notions; I never thought of it that way to display things. It would be fun to change the embroidery inside depending on your mood. Serving tea on this tray when guests come over would surely be a conversation starter!

The second staff award goes to a beautiful floral artwork made using the tsumami zaiku (traditional Japanese fabric flower making) technique.

The second work to receive the Staff Award is,Artwork by Kaori Mama (Hyogo Prefecture)This has been selected. Congratulations! Here is the comment that Kaori Mama submitted to the work.

[Artwork Title] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I couldn't go see my favorite flowers, such as wisteria, dahlias, and cosmos. I hope to go to a cosmos field next year.
I also tried making dahlias.

[Message from Couturier staff member Yumi]
I was captivated by the beautiful cosmos flowers made from tsumami zaiku (traditional Japanese fabric flower making) in full bloom! The vibrant colors are so gorgeous. Even though we can't go out right now, just having these cosmos and dahlias in my home would make me feel more positive. The details are beautiful, and the finish is superb.

Congratulations to the winners: Yoshie Okuyama and Team Shonan, noranohaha, and Kaori Mama! We will be sending a small gift from Couturier to all three winners.
