Dress-up dolls ♪ Announcing the winners of the September 2016 "Couturier Works Gallery"!

This month, the "Couturier Gallery" received many wonderful handmade creations. From among them, Couturier shop manager Ten-chan and Couturier planner Koharu have selected the "Ten-chan Award" and the "Staff Award."

This month's "Ten-chan Award" goes to Fukupi-sama (Miyazaki Prefecture).
Here are some comments that Fukupi-sama left on the artwork.

"I made a new friend♪"
I felt sorry for her being all alone, so I made her a friend. I changed the color of her clothes and hair at my daughter's request.
[Kit used]From today, she's a friend of that little girl. A lovely, loving dress-up doll club with a gentle smile.

I also made the rooms and closets myself.

I made a simple, portable room and closet out of cardboard. I've also ordered clothes from a clothing club, so I'll keep working hard to store lots of clothes so my child can enjoy dressing up. That's the comment I received.

Adorable dolls that look just like twins, and a dreamy house and furniture! A wonderful mother who made so many things using everyday materials must have delighted her child. It's fun to imagine what stories will unfold from these dolls. The comment, "Mom will keep trying," makes you want to applaud this heartwarming creation.

Next, we'll introduce the "Staff Awards."
The first winning entry is by maron3110 (Tokyo). Here is the comment that maron3110 submitted with their work.

"I finally finished it! 12 pieces for one year!"
It's been over a year and a half since I started buying the materials, and I've finally completed 12 of them.
Some of the pieces required patience, but it was a fun time. I've put them in a case and displayed them in my entryway. I'd like to try making another piece by Yoko Imamura.

It's been about a year and a half since you started buying the yarn, and I can imagine you enjoying the process of knitting at your own pace. The sight of the 12 colorful flower pouches lined up together is so heartwarming. You mentioned that you display them in a case in your entryway, and I'm sure they spark conversations with guests who see them. Please continue to enjoy knitting!

"A world tour in colorful costumes"
This piece was completed about two years ago. I gathered images from 16 countries and combined them into a single tapestry. I originally planned to embroider a frame around it using cross-stitch, but I got too busy and never got around to it. It was challenging with all the detailed color changes, but I really like how cute it turned out.

This is a truly impressive piece, showcasing the charm of costumes from 16 different countries! I'm sure you spent a lot of time on the intricate details, such as the color changes in the patterns of the costumes.
