Last time, I spoke with RUKO, a felt sweets artist,Just looking at them makes you happy!? How to make magical felt sweetsWe asked her about "[topic]". This time, she will teach us about her daily creative life and techniques for improving. We will introduce RUKO's unique approach.
I keep all the delicious-looking cakes in my mind.

I thought she might be visiting cake shops regularly for research purposes, but apparently she doesn't do that at all. However, she sees cakes often in her daily life, so she keeps the latest decoration trends in mind and pulls them out of her memory when she's creating her own.
Tips for making something that looks just like the real thing

When asked about the secret to making them look so realistic, RUKO said, "I make sure to make them look fresh. I make sure that anything that is sharp is sharp. I use sparkly beads. I also make sure to carefully trim any fuzz on the felt at the end. Another important thing is to add mint. The green makes the other colors stand out."
Pursuing realism to the fullest extent—that's what professional work is all about.

"In terms of color balance, fresh cakes are colorful with plenty of fruit. For baked goods, we pay attention to how the browning is applied. Start with a light brown and gradually make it darker. Make the parts that burn easily darker." These techniques, which thoroughly pursue realism, are truly the work of a professional!
Enjoy failure, with a relaxed attitude.

When asked, "Have you ever had any failures while making felt sweets?", RUKO replied, "It happens all the time." She said that it's common for things not to go as planned when trying to express something. But she finds it fun and rewarding to persevere and complete the project. We should all learn from her spirit of enjoying the challenge of difficult things!
The time spent thinking about toppings is reward time.

The most exciting part of the process, they say, is carefully arranging the prepared fruit and cream to create a balanced presentation. It must be just like making a real cake!
Next time, you can also enjoy the plating process.About RUKO's carefully crafted handmade kitWe will continue to ask further questions. RUKO's handmade kit, filled with her meticulous attention to detail,"RUKO Special Feature" pageYou can view it here, so please be sure to check it out.
